Windows Installation Instructions (click to expand)

Download the SPSS installer using the button on the right provided.
IMPORTANT: Right-Mouse Click Install_SPSS28.exe and select "run as administrator"
Install the program by clicking Next.
When the installation is complete, Click Finish.
"Authorized user license..." is selected by default at the Product Authorization dialog. Click Next.
Enter the version 28: License Authorization Code
You will receive a "successfully processed all codes" notification. Click Next.
When presented with the Licensing Completed dialog, click Finish.

SPSS software is renewed annually in the summer months. If you already have SPSS installed and simply need to renew your annual license by downloading the PDF with the newest license code and you will find the instructions there.

Download SPSS_Statistics_28.0.1.0.dmg using the link provided and double-click to mount the disk image containing the installers.
Install both SPSS_Statistics_28.0.1.0_Mac.pkg and SPSS28Fix.pkg accepting all default options.
Click on the "License product" button and click Next at the License Status dialog.
"Authorized user license..." should be selected by default, Click Next.
Enter the version 28 license authorization code and click "Next."
You will receive a "successfully processed all codes" notification. Click "Next."
When presented with the Licensing Completed dialog, click "Finish."

Updating your SPSS license

Click on the SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard icon in the IBM..SPSS..28 application folder.
At the License Status dialog, click “Next.”
Select “License my product now” and click “Next.”
Enter this license update code and click “Next.”
You will receive an “authorization succeeded” notification. Click “Next.”
When presented with the Licensing Completed dialog, click “Finish.”

Additional Notes:

SPSS may be used on Brown University-owned computers only by Brown faculty, staff and students. Six- or twelve-month home-use licenses for personal computers may be purchased by visiting the Brown University Web Store and Selecting "Grad Pack" Software
