If you have some ideas about using the web in new and different ways, please get in touch early in your planning process so that we can be aware of your needs and help you develop a strategy that meets your goals.
There are three typical outcomes:
- DISCOVERY: After discussing goals with us, we often find that the goals can be met with our standard offerings and that additional training is all that is needed to take advantage of the robust platforms that are available to users free of charge.
- PIONEERING: Other clients have some fairly common goals that have not been solved at the time of consultation. In these cases, custom work sometimes becomes a BrownSites feature that meets multiple departments' needs. A good example of this is our courses module for academic departments.
- INNOVATION: Another type of result is a unique product for a unique goal. For these projects, we work with the client, and often collaborate with The Office of Public Affairs and University Relations, Graphic Services, and outside agencies if needed.
Web Services partners with University Communications and Graphic Services to deliver custom designs. Custom work can involve fees that are payable by the sponsoring department.
