About People: Visiting Scholars

Terr-Ann Craigie
Visiting Faculty, Department of Economics, Connecticut College

Professor Craigie does research in the areas of labor economics, economics of crime, demographic economics, economics of the family, and applied microeconomics. Her recent projects focus on issues related to racial and gender inequality including the collateral consequences of mass incarceration, the gender pay gap, and family formation. Her academic appointment will allow her to revisit inequality in the labor market context using big data. Identifying the breadth and nuances of inequality is essential for formulating specialized policy solutions. Big data helps facilitate that. Professor Craigie is the Economics Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law and an Associate Professor of Economics at Connecticut College.
