Conflict Resolution

The nature of warfare is rapidly shifting away from traditional conflict between distinguishable actors toward conflict among complex entities. With this transformation, traditional methods of conflict resolution such as diplomacy and negotiations are now less applicable. In this section, Professors Nimet Beriker, Louis Kriesberg, Joseph V. Montville, Steven R. Liebel, and Lewis Rasmussen each analyze the current field of conflict resolution, applying theories that range from those in classical political science to new development studies.
