Brown Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice

The Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice invites proposals for research grants from undergraduate and graduate students at Brown University. The grants are limited to $500 each and are meant to cover travel expenses and material-tech purchases for research in areas that fall within the mission and focus of the CSSJ: the study of slavery, human trafficking, and racial justice. Recipients will receive awards for AY 2020-21, and are expected to give an informal lunch-time presentation at the CSSJ describing their current research projects during the spring of 2021.

Please send a 250-word description of the research project and brief account of anticipated expenses to [email protected] by April 1st, 2020.
