Question: While I am working on building my database how do I back up my data dictionary?
Answer: If you are working on revising your data dictionary and you want a backup of what you are working on in case you make a mistake, there is a new snap shot feature to help you do this.
From inside the online designer. You can see the snap shot information in the upper right hand corner.
Now if you navigate back to the Project Setup tab. You will see two new tabs show up to the right. Now click on the project revision history tab. Here you will see the history of you data dictionary.
Also by default when you upload a new data dictionary a snap shot is taken of your current data dictionary before the upload. This only applies to changes made to the data dictionary via upload. See below the snap shot at 8:12 was generated automatically when a new data dictionary was uploaded.
