A two-day workshop on Evidence Synthesis & Meta-Analysis is now available to watch on the Advance-CTR YouTube page.  

The workshop was held June 5 & 6, 2019 by the American Statistical Association, Hawai’i Chapter at University of Hawai‘i and featured presentations by Advance-CTR Biostatistics Core Director Christopher H. Schmid, PhD. 

Day 1 featured an introduction on evidence synthesis to prepare your topic, formulate research, Q search/screen studies, extract data, assess risk of bias, qualitative synthesis, and neta-analysis report findings. 

Day 2 presented an overview of SR & MA, types of MA outcomes, weighted averages, heterogeneity 1- and 2-stage models, meta-regression Bayesian models, observational data, participant-level data, and Multivariate MA Network MA.
