Ms. McGill is the Lifespan Vice President for Research Administration, with responsibilities for the administrative, financial, regulatory and operational aspects of research for the Lifespan Hospitals. Ms. McGill ensures institutional compliance with federal, state and other applicable research regulations and has oversight of research-related operations, including grants and contract administration, research compliance, regulatory matters, core research facilities, operating budgets, and intellectual property.
Her previous positions at Rhode Island Hospital were Director of ORA from 1993 – 1996, and Manager of Research Finance from 1991 – 1993. Before moving to Rhode Island, Ms. McGill spent 10 years at Yale University as a senior administrator in the Department of Medicine.
Ms. McGill holds a baccalaureate degree in psychology and education from the College of Mt. St. Vincent, in Riverdale, NY and a graduate degree in education from Columbia University, NYC, NY. Ms. McGill has been a nationally certified research administrator since 1998. Ms. McGill has been an invited speaker at national and regional meetings for the Society of Research Administrators and the National Council of Research Administrators.
