PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE CAMPUS SAFETY POLICY BELOW:
PLEASE REFER TO THE HEALTHY BROWN WEBSITE FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
If You Are Being Accompanied During Move In
You may have up to two people accompany you to campus. They will need to follow all requirements specified by the Rhode Island Department of Health for face coverings and physical distancing while they are in Rhode Island. Per the Rhode Island Department of Health, anyone traveling with you from an international or US hot spot should limit time spent on campus and outside of hotel rooms or other places they might stay, only visit stores for essential items, avoid dining in restaurants, and limit use of public transportation.
Any visitors, regardless of origin, must limit their time in the residence halls to dropping off belongings.
EVERYONE MUST WEAR A FACE MASK AT ALL TIMES WHEN INSIDE ANY BROWN BUILDING AND WHILE IN OUTSIDE PUBLIC AREAS WHERE SOCIAL DISTANCING CANNOT BE MAINTAINED
The Quiet Period begins upon move-in, which is a 14 day MANDATORY quarantine period. Please refer to the Brown 2020 Healthy Fall page regarding the quiet period by visiting https://healthy.brown.edu/prevention/quiet-period
Upon check-in you will be provided with a self-care kit containing 3 face masks, two tubes of hand sanitizer, and a canister of disinfecting wipes. These supplies are meant to last for the semester.
Kits will be available at the testing sites if for some reason you did not receive one at check-in.
TESTING PROTOCOLS AND INFORMATION
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THAT PAGE (ALL STUDENTS MUST BE TESTED)
Each day, you will respond to a web-based screening survey to record health conditions. After completing the survey, you will receive a prompt to register for testing. All asymptomatic tests will take place at the University’s testing site located in the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center at the Erickson Athletic Complex (OMAC). Students will be asked to perform a self-administered nasal swab — the most reliable, accurate, and non-invasive method available currently — and clinical personnel will guide participants as needed from a safe distance.
You will receive an email to visit the program website and enroll using your Brown email address. Once you have created your account, you will receive an email from [email protected] to do the following daily:
