Drs. Jennifer Tidey & Patricia Cioe recently worked in collaboration with colleagues at Vermont Center on Behavior and Health and Johns Hopkins University on a study that found lowering nicotine decreases addictiveness of smoking in vulnerable populations!

Dr. Rachel Gunn was recently published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence with her paper, "Ordering in alcohol and cannabis co-use: Impact on daily consumption and consequences" with co-authors, Drs. Alexander Sokolovsky, Angela K.

"E-cigarette Perceptions among HIV-positive Smokers in a Switching Study" by Dr. Patricia Cioe, Dr. Jennifer Tidey, Alana Mercurion, Catherine Costantino, and Dr. Christopher Kahler was just published in Tobacco Regulatory Science.

Postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Morgan Snell, published a paper describing associations between nicotine dependence and dual use of combustible and e-cigarettes over time.

Dr. Jacob van den Berg and his team have a paper entitled: "A systematic review of early adoption of implementation science for HIV prevention or treatment in the United States" that was just published in the journal AIDS. The manuscript was led by Dr.

Holly Boyle received an F31 Fellowship from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) for her research on "Examining person and event level predictors of simultaneous alcohol and marijuana use via mixed methods."

Congratulations to the Director of the New England ATTC, Dr. Sara Becker, on this landmark publication in Pediatrics "Brief Behavioral Interventions for Substance Use in Adolescents: A Meta-analysis."

Dr. Melissa Pielech, and co-authors Claire Lunde, Dr. Kevin Vowles, Dr. Sara Becker, and Dr. Christine B Sieberg, recently published a manuscript in a special issue of the journal American Psychologist focused on psychology's role in addressing the dual crises of chronic pain and opioid-related harms.
