Anne Neary is joining CAAS as a recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst to work with Dr. Jennifer Merrill as a Research Assistant helping run Project ARC (Alcohol Use in Real-life Contexts)!
We are so excited to congratulate Brown CAAS faculty recently promoted to Associate Professor!
First, Dr. Rosemarie Martin whose current research focuses on improving the access to evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder, particularly among individuals involved in the criminal justice system who have high risk of overdose death
Secondly, Dr. Jennifer Merrill whose current research focuses on high intensity drinking and blackouts among young adults.
Dr. Sara Becker, and her Project Maximizing Implementation of Motivational Incentives in Clinics (MIMIC) team continues to lead contingency management training, most recently for 10 opioid treatment programs throughout New England as part of a NIDA-funded R01 in partnership with New England Addiction Technology Transfer Center!
Congratulations to Dr. Patricia Cioe on receiving funding in the form of a Research Excellence Award for “Using Mindfulness to Reduce Anxiety and Stress in HIV-positive Smokers to Improve Self- Efficacy for Smoking Cessation and Readiness to Quit”.
