Jacqueline Dover, RN, BScN, MHSc, is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and MBSR teacher trainer. Jacquie has facilitated MBSR and other mindfulness programs in community settings.
Jacquie has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Health Science in Health Promotion, and graduate certificate in Evaluation for Social Change and Transformative Learning. She is currently completing the 2-year Community Meditation Teacher Mentorship Program at True North Insight.
Before joining the team at Brown, Jacquie practiced community health nursing for more than twenty-five years. Her nursing career has included varied front-line and leadership positions in primary health care, public health, and academic settings. She is thankful to have served in Ontario, Canada with a regional network of public health nurses in roles focused solely on addressing health equity and the social determinants of health.
Jacquie is passionate about the transformational potential of program evaluation, and she is committed to efforts aimed at delivering culturally responsive MBSR programs and MBSR teacher training. She is currently supporting the Mindfulness Center at Brown’s BIPOC MBSR Teacher Training Program, and she is honoured to share these practices with others.
