Facilities
The lab is well equipped for advanced research in the areas described in the research page. Facilities include nanofabrication, micro and nano scanning probe instruments, AFM, lasers and fiber optics, spectroscopic instruments, DC, RF and millimeter-wave characterization instruments, cryogenic systems, surface and bio-molecular chemistry. In addition to the equipment in the lab we also fully utilize the shared facilities on the Brown campus associated with the Center for Advanced Materials. These include a class 1000 clean room with electron beam evaporation, reactive ion etching, PECVD, oxidation furnaces, profilometer and ellipsometer, a class 100 clean room for photolithography mask alignment and electron microscope facilities with TEM, SEM and electron beam lithography.
