About

Welcome to the Plumb lab at Brown University.  Our group is focused on exploring and understanding the organizing principles that govern the collective behavior of electrons in quantum materials. We use both neutron and x-ray spectroscopy to gain unique microscopic insight into the exotic landscapes that give rise to this behavior.  In our labs at Brown, we have facilities for materials synthesis, characterization, and x-ray diffraction measurements under extreme conditions.  We perform neutron and x-ray spectroscopy experiments at state of the art facilities throughout the United States and internationally. Please contact  Prof. Plumb if you are interested in learning more.
