How the brain “sees”

Brown Alumni Magazine profiles Michael Paradiso, a Brown alum, professor of Neuroscience and director of the Center for Vision Research, on his past and present research, along with several students working in the Center. Paradiso began his work in physicist Leon Cooper's lab who was then studying neuroscience discussing higher and lower brain processes and the various networks of neurons that decipher the information gathered by our senses. Since 2007 He's been at the head of the Center for Vision Research working across disciplines on vision as a fundamental  activity of the brain.
