Ellen Rooney, the Royce Family Professor of Teaching Excellence and Professor of English and Modern Culture and Media at Brown University, will give the Elizabeth Munves Sherman ’77, P’06, P’09 Lecture in Gender Sexuality Studies. Her talk,  “At an intersection, in person, on time: reading effects,” will consider the relations between contemporary debates about reading and form and feminist critique. The lecture is part of the programming of the 2019-20 Pembroke Seminar “The Question of Critique.”
