Brown SRP at the Northeast Superfund Research Program Meeting

Many members of the Brown SRP attended the 2019 Northeast SRP Annual Meeting in Boston, MA on April 3-4, 2019.

The Brown SRP had a significant presence, especially in the Big Data in Environmental Health: Collection, Synthesis, Analysis and Use session.  Joseph Braun gave the Keynote presentation: “Chemical Exposures, Biological Pathways, and Child Health Outcomes.” Andrew Creamer, Scientific Data Management Specialist, presented “The Brown University Superfund Research Program Digital Archive: Integrating the Library and Institutional Repository into the Data Core to Support Data Management, Sharing, and Reuse.” 

Several of our trainees presented Posters:

  • Cintia Castilho: “Mosquito Bite Prevention through Graphene Barrier Layers”
  • Shuai Xie: “Measure VOC indoor concentration at Rhode Island VI sites and the dynamic impact by building materials”
  • April Rodd: “Effect of Perfluoroalkyl Substances on the Development of Zebrafish Vasculature and Pericytes”
  • Shannon Martin: “Perfluorooctane Sulfonate (PFOS) Exacerbates Microglial Responses to Brain Injury in Exposed Zebrafish Embryos

And, an exciting announcement! The Brown University SRP will be hosting the 2020 Northeast SRP Annual Meeting!
