Research shows that students who participate in peer response groups not only produce better writing but also demonstrate improved self-evaluative capabilities, a more nuanced understanding of audience, increased motivation and decreased anxiety surrounding writing tasks, and also demonstrate more positive attitudes toward writing generally.
This series aims to help participants to speak clearly and confidently when using English in academic settings. This semester workshops will focus on sound-level and phrase-level pronunciation. The five-part workshop series will be held on 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, and 3/15.

In this workshop, facilitated by Sheridan Associate Director Jessica Metzler, participants will explore strategies for designing assignments that improve student learning by breaking down complex tasks into smaller components, allowing instructors to monitor and offer feedback on student progress.
