English Language Learning: Academic Writing Series

This series focuses on skills needed for clear writing in the U.S. academic context. This semester workshops will focus on sentence-level syntax, grammatical structures, and word choices for writing at the college and graduate levels. The five-part workshop series will be held on 2/12, 2/26, 3/12, 4/2, and 4/16.

In this interactive session, we will discuss the range of formats a teaching demonstration can take, as well as questions to ask your interviewers beforehand. Workshop activities will help participants to construct a plan for a teaching demonstration, which can be tailored to different institutional and disciplinary settings. This workshop will be facilitated by Mary Wright, Director of the Sheridan Center.
