Designing an Engaged Capstone Course

Both capstone courses and engaged learning are high-impact experiences for students, but what does it mean to design an "engaged capstone course"? This interactive workshop will offer models and faculty perspectives for thinking about curricular sequencing, learning objectives, and best practices for building community engagement into integrative capstone courses. The session will be of particular interest for those who have submitted a letter of intent for the Engaged Scholars Program Curriculum Development Grant, but other resources for engaged learning will also be featured. This workshop series -- a collaboration between the Swearer Center for Public Service and the Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning -- spotlights resources and pedagogical tools for developing engaged learning experiences at Brown.  Please register:
