Led by English Language Learning Specialist Sara Gramley (Sheridan Center) and Lead Instructional Designer, James Foley (ITG) this workshop will present ways to leverage digital tools in order to encourage full participation in a class of diverse backgrounds. This workshop will explore cultural norms that may make some students hesitant to speak up in the classroom or seek out support services, and showcase programs, including Piazza and Zoom, that can help foster engagement through digital means.
