The “How I Grade Series” spotlights Brown faculty who are using alternative approaches to assessing student learning in their courses. This session focuses on gamified and gameful approaches, which are often marked by choice in assessments and multiple opportunities for students to succeed. Professors James Egan (English) and Charles Carroll (History and Writing Center/Sheridan Center) will present on how they design their courses at Brown according to these principles.
