In this workshop, led by Sheridan Associate Director Jessica Metzler, participants will consider questions of diversity and inclusion in relationship to course design and teaching. We will discuss the concepts of implicit bias and stereotype threat as they affect student learning and explore strategies for teaching a diverse student body, creating an inclusive environment, and including diverse perspectives on your syllabus.
