Carlin holds a BA in Music Education from Providence College, and an MA in Media Arts from Emerson College. After earning her MA, Carlin worked in post-production for a television production company just outside Boston producing programming for clients such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, and PBS. Prior to joining Brown, Carlin served as the Director of User Services at Emerson College, overseeing all front-facing technology support for the campus including a large team of both professional staff and student employees. Carlin is passionate about bringing together her experience with media design and technology in a higher education setting.
