Eosinophilic esophagitis
This biopsy is from the mid-esophagus of a 12 yr old boy with persistent dysphagia despite anti-reflux therapy. Numerous
intraepithelial eosinophils are present within the squamous epithelium. This disorder is to be differentiated from reflux esophagitis.
