Invasive (infiltrating) ductal carcinoma

 

 

Invasive breast carcinoma classification includes several special types and that type referred to as ductal or

“no special type”. There are tubules of epithelial cells which often show minimal atypia. In many cases, as illustrated,

there is stromal fibrosis (desmoplasia) which sometimes makes differentiation from sclerosing adenosis problematic.
