Eosinophilic granuloma

 

 

Illustrated here is a characteristic EM finding in Langerhans cells; the Birbeck granule. Note the rod-like, tubular structures

 with a central linear density. Sometimes the terminal end is dilated giving the appearance of a tennis racket.
