Acute proliferative glomerulonephritis (APGN)

 

A trichrome stain (40x) demonstrates the presence of bright red deposits along the capillary wall. These correspond to the immune complex deposits seen on immunofluorescence (IM) or electron microscopy (EM). Increased glomerular cellularity is observed.
