Pre-College Programs

IEP Students Engaged in the Classroom

Intensive English Language at Brown:
Life on Campus

A Typical Day

What is life really like in the American college campus? As an IEP student, you will find out. IEP offers a true residential college experience - you live and study like a college student, and learn to balance an active campus life, full of academic and social activities. Students live in Brown University residence halls and eat their meals in campus dining halls with other pre-college students from America and around the world.

Monday – Friday
9:00am - 11:30am: Coursework
12:00pm – 1pm: Lunch
1:30pm - 3:00pm: Lab (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Evenings and Weekends

Brown's Pre-College Summer Program experience goes far beyond the classroom. Students will live with IEP peers but will live among students participating in other summer programs. Every afternoon, evening, and weekend students will participate in co-curricular activities on and off campus. There is an extensive calendar of events - including recreational activities and educational workshops and presentations which are designed to better prepare students for the college application process as well as the transition to college-level academics.
