The hidden space in the attic is one of the more exciting areas of the building, and everyone found it an intriguing space. Now that there were more people, we decided to investigate the closed off space that I had been able to see, but not ventured into before. John Cherry and Chris Witmore explored the space, and recovered some interesting items that they brought out into the main space. As well as the numerous classroom chairs that I had been able to glimpse before, the space contained old shutters that had been removed and stored. I am not certain if these are the ones that hung on the west window that can be seen in the photos, as those ones had slats and these did not. A corroded chimney cap and a drainage basin, perhaps from the taxidermy lab, were also recovered. A piece of wood that was originally part of the wall, but was removed to access the space was found. It has coat hooks on the side that faced towards the attic space, and the reverse side revealed an interesting chalk drawing.
