The first time I pulled open the door to this "closet" I remember my imagination running wild at where they could possibly lead. The attic space of Rhode Island Hall was very interesting, and crawling around up there and looking down on classes reminded me of a C.S. Lewis novel. Oddly, even after the door to the attic had been removed, the stairs still seemed hidden, and the threshold that remained seemed even more liminal.
