I'm Elise, and I am a sophomore double concentrating in Archaeology and Architectural History. I am interested in the instances when these two disciplines overlap, particularly in the study of the eighteenth century when the first 'archaeologists' were architects interested in rediscovering ancient remains for design purposes. I have really enjoyed archaeology at Brown so far, and have taken Archaeologies of the Greek Past and Roman Archaeology and Art, as well as doing an independent study in Spring 2008 with Chris Witmore on 'An Archaeology of Rhode Island Hall'.
