Today we had an extra excavation session with interested members of the First Baptist Church congregation. Turnout was about 6 people from the congregation, and about the same number of archaeologists.

Unit A4 was excavated. The remains of a possible metal storage container was uncovered in the western side of the unit. The copper tubing does not connect to this directly, but disappears into the western side of the baulk.

Unit B2 was excavated and revealed more animal bones as well as ceramics.

Unit B3 was excavated with few artifacts found. Excavation has proceeded to the clay soil underlying the dark brown soil.
