A faculty member in Structural Biology will be an experimentalist expected to pursue an independent, externally-funded research program using structural and biophysical approaches to investigate complex biological phenomena. Special attention will be given to candidates with a focus on disease-related research areas. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to graduate and undergraduate education, a willingness to teach in Biochemistry and other disease-related areas of biology, and an intention to be an active member of the predoctoral training programs in the Division of Biology and Medicine. Research space will be provided in a state-of-the-art facility with access to modern structural biology instrumentation and core facilities.
Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with relevant research training/experience and a record of excellence in research. The successful applicant will be an experimentalist in the area of Structural Biology who will be expected to pursue an independent, externally-funded research program. The applicant should demonstrate a commitment to graduate and undergraduate education, the ability to make clear and effective presentations of scientific and technical material and the potential for interactions with other faculty in the Division of Biology & Medicine, the University at large and the affiliated hospitals.
