The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Minimum requirements include: board certification in Anatomic Pathology and board certification/eligibility in Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology (or Canadian equivalent). The incumbents will be expected to develop and maintain an independent research program in the general areas of cytopathology or surgical pathology. The incumbents will also be expected to participate in the teaching of residents and fellows in the Department and in the teaching of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine courses, in supervising clerkships for medical students at Brown University and/or in providing instructional support to the medical technology or cytotechnology training programs in the Department of Pathology. Candidates should have experience in a university hospital or comparable institution with an active oncology service. Those candidates applying at the rank of Associate Professor must have a national reputation and scholarly achievements appropriate to this level.
