Research and Clinical Interests:

My primary research interests include nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and viral hepatitis.  I am interested in developing new therapeutic approaches based on disease pathogenesis.  I have investigated how weight loss through lifestyle modifications affects lifer histology and metabolic environment in patients with NASH.   More recent efforts have focused on novel interventions in NASH (such as manipulation of gut microbiome through fecal microbiota transplantation, etc.).  Another area of interest is in HCV care delivery focusing on improving various steps in the HCV care cascade.
