B. Star Hampton, MD, FACOG 

Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology 

Interim Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Hampton is the interim chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Women & Infants Hospital. She also holds the position of vice chair of education for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. Hampton is committed to teaching physicians in training, takes an active part in the academic growth of her field, and travels yearly for international women's health outreach.

 

 

Dayna Burrell, MD

Residency Program Director

Dr. Burrell is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is a member of the division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital. Dr. Burrell completed her residency training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and remained at Johns Hopkins as an Academic Specialist faculty member for 8 years. During that time, she served as an Associate Program Director and helped to build a simulation curriculum for resident education. Dr. Burrell joined the faculty at Women & Infants Hospital in 2016 and continues in her passion and drive for excellence in resident and medical student education. 


 

 

Beth Cronin, MD

Associate Program Director

Dr. Cronin is a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and works at Providence Community Health Centers providing full scope obstetrics and gynecologic care. Dr. Cronin completed her residency training at Women and Infants Hospital in 2010. She is passionate about medical student and resident education and completed the APGO Scholars Program in 2017. She lectures and advocates on the importance of inclusive welcoming health care for the LGBTQ community.

 

Lisa Domagalski, MD

Associate Program Director

Dr. Domagalski is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is a member of Partners in OB/GYN, a division of Southern New England Healthcare for Women.  Dr. Domagalski completed her residency training at Women & Infants' Hospital, Providence, RI.  She has remained at Women & Infants' Hospital as a faculty member since 1995. During that time, she has served multiple leadership roles for resident education among community faculty. In her position as Associate Program Director, Dr. Domagalski continues the important role of engaging community faculty in resident education.

 

Elizabeth Lokich, MD

Associate Program Director

Dr. Lokich is a gynecologic oncologist in the Program in Women’s Oncology at Women and Infants Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert medical school of Brown University.  She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and fellowship in gynecology Oncology at Women and Infants Hospital at Brown University.  She was a faculty member at the University of New Mexico prior to returning to Women & Infants Hospital in 2018.  She has been actively involved in resident education, surgical education and surgical simulation.  Her research interests include quality improvement and surgical education.  She is also involved in international health and serves as the OB-Gyn faculty advisor for the BRIGHT program. 


 

 

Merima Ruhotina, MD 
Administrative Chief Resident

Meri graduated from the University of Vermont School of Medicine. She plans to pursue a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.  

 

R. Nicholas Burns, MD 
Administrative Chief Resident

Nick graduated from the University of Texas Galveston Medical School. He plans on pursuing a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
