Research Assistant
Julissa is a research assistant with CENIC: Project EXTRA study. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Rhode Island in May 2019. Julissa’s research interests include comorbid mood and eating disorders, and behavioral disorders in adolescents. Prior to joining the Smoke Lab at Brown, Julissa was a research assistant at The University of Rhode Island where she worked with women who experienced intimate partner trauma and substance use. Her desire to explore the field of psychology was influenced by her work at a summer camp where she learned to work with children ages 5-13 with behavioral disorders. When not at the Smoke Lab, Julissa loves to go to the gym, go hiking, and spend time with her friends, family, and dogs.
