The Brown University Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies (CAAS) is an internationally renowned research center in addiction research. We conduct collaborative research that will lead to more effective treatment for alcohol and drug use, and are creating a nationwide program in substance abuse, education and training for psychologists, physicians, medical students, and health care professionals.

Dr. Jennifer Merrill to serve as a keynote speaker for the Kettil Bruun Society
Peter M. Monti, the Donald G. Millar Distinguished Professor of Alcohol and Addiction Studies, professor of behavioral and social sciences, and director of the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies in the Brown University School of Public Health, has been awarded the 10th Annual Jack Mendelson Award from the National Institutes on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).
