Vice President for Administration
and Chief Risk Officer
The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Chief Risk Officer is responsible for a variety of administrative and risk management functions. The VP Admin/CRO is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, reducing, monitoring, controlling and reporting key business risks that might impair the achievement of Brown’s goals and objectives. With respect to departments principally devoted to risk management responsibilities the position oversees the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Environmental Health & Safety and the Office of Insurance and Risk. The VP Admin/CRO chairs the Risk Management Committee and the University’s Core Crisis Team. The position also oversees the Brown Bookstore, Human Resources and Labor Relations. The office of the Vice President of Administration and Chief Risk Officer oversees the administrative services provided to the Brown community in support of the Plan for Academic Enrichment.
