Clear cell carcinoma (ovary)
This section is from a right adnexal mass in a 48 year old woman. The clear cells (center and right) show eccentric
nuclei, clear cytoplasm, and distinct cell membranes. There were metastases to right and left pelvic lymph nodes.
The prognosis of clear cell carcinoma is poor. It is a high grade tumor that behaves aggressively.
