About the LRC
The Language Resource Center (LRC) actively supports and promotes language, literature and culture instruction at all levels at Brown University. The LRC is committed to providing technical assistance, digital media and tools, informational outreach, training and curricular support to Brown faculty, students and staff engaged in the learning and teaching of languages, literatures and cultures. The LRC seeks to provide state-of-the-art facilities for media production, use and distribution.

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL
Effective August 17th, the University Library will assume responsibility for housing and circulating the print and video collections formerly circulated by the LRC.
The video collection has moved to the Sciences Library; the information desk at the Friedman Center on Level A of the SciLi now serves as the service point for all video materials.
Library staff will retrieve requested titles and bring them to users at the Friedman desk. Circulation policies have not changed. Viewing stations are located on the 14th floor of the SciLi. Physical reserves of video materials will be handled by the Library – more information on this will be forthcoming from them.
Books, bound journals and self-instructional materials have been transferred to Rockefeller Library. Josiah records for all materials are being updated to reflect their new locations. Other instructional support materials held by the LRC, such as iPods, video camcorders and audio recording devices will remain at the CIT and be handled as they have been to date, until further notice.
Please request video materials for course use and reserves through OCRA (http://dl.lib.brown.edu/reserves/). After August 17th, no video materials will be held or circulated by the LRC.
