Welcome to the Brown University Accreditation homepage.
Every ten years as part of our re-accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Brown undertakes a comprehensive and wide-ranging self-study. This process culminated in an evaluation by a team of outside experts who came to campus April 5-8, 2009.
As part of this process we prepared a detailed Self-Study report that addressed eleven standards provided by NEASC (http://www.neasc.org/). A Steering Committee was established to lead the effort and multiple sub-committees worked on the standards to address such topics as the undergraduate and graduate programs, the faculty, information technology, research, governance and the mission of the University.
On this site, you can find more information about accreditation. You can read the standards, see the committee membership, read the Self-Study, and read the Evaluation Team Report and the University Response to the Report.
