The School of Engineering at Brown University is proud of its student-centered undergradatuate curricula. In our programs, students are involved in calculation-based, creative design projects, starting in their first semester engineering course. At the same time, students develop strong theoretical foundations in different areas of engineering before they specialize in one of six ABET accredited concentrations. Students are actively involved in research and design projects in their junior and senior years as well. In this presentation, we will discuss the challenges and successes of running our first-year undergraduate engineering program.
