Hello, my name is Zachary M. and I am a Modern Culture & Media concentrator. I was drawn into this class by its interest in material culture, which I find fascinating, and its consideration of the object as a pathway into understanding humanity. Taking an object, any object, always reveals fascinating insights on social structure, production techniques, technology, belief systems, and ideals, that I think this class will allow for a rather radical reassessment of human history.
