There will be two half-hour quizes as part of the grading for this course. These will comprise of a series of identifications (probably 6 choose 5) which will be taken from the glossary that we will be building throughout the course. They are intended to serve as a check of the more detailed knowledge of the course material. What I expect from an identification is a clear and detailed description of what the particular term represents as well as a discussion of what it is significant. How does it relate to the various course themes as well as other terms that are part of the glossary.
