Late at night with the locals. The Bar is relatively empty, grappa is being consumed, conversations are taking place in broken Italian. Subsets of communities are formed; "Do you remember that time when..."
Community. Oustide, drinking beer, non-gendered space. The tables have been pushed together so that everyone can interact with everyone else; a unifying place-specific practice.
What to do when not in the field; the process of drinking is the focus of the photograph here. This is quite demonstrably not the field, and this is not water. The Bar as Other.
