For this week, think broadly about the kinds of resources discussed in the readings. How does each type help us do what Wilkie suggests and insert people into our interpretations? How might our interpretations of the John Brown House be influenced by documents suggesting that the lawn housed servants? Do archaeologists NEED documents to make informed interpretations about lived spaces? What information can be 'read' from documents anyway?
