I'm a sophomore concentrating in Comparative Literature and Italian Studies. This is the first class I've taken in the archaeology department. When I was a kid, I had a brief obsession with Greek myth, and then I started getting into Greek and Roman history. My senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to spend a week in Rome, which did a really fantastic job of bringing to life things I had only read about before. Since I haven't yet been to Greece, I decided this course would be a good way for me to see, on slides if not in person, things I've only read about before. I'm really hoping to learn about a lot of sites I've never come in contact with, while also discovering aspects of everyday Greek culture.

Key terms I will be defining: Cyclopean Masonry, Post-and-lintel, Temple of Aphaia on Aegina
