Classical Providence: landscapes, monuments, rediscovery
A short film by Harry Anastopulos and Reem Yusuf

Harry Anastopulos: Here is our quasi-"artistic" rendition of a walking tour of "Classical Providence". We mainly focus on the elements (i.e. landscapes and monuments) of our beloved Providence that bear connections to the Greek Past. Enjoy!

elise: I loved the inclusion of period photographs of the Providence buildings. And great video editing!

Jacob Combs: Awesome work guys. I also loved the period photos and your use of quotations from Hamlin, Warren and Bucklin--it's really clear that you did a lot of work on this movie. Great job.

Carissa Racca: Sorry for commenting so late. I finally got a chance to view the movie. Not only was it visually provocative, but it was not a standard project. I truly appreciated both of your efforts. The movie allowed me to look at these buildings of Greek influence in a different light.

Arune Gulati: Really awesome job with the movie. Great idea, well executed, well edited, and just very interesting and original overall. Makes a very professional impression on those who watch it.

Alicia Hernandez: You both did a wonderful job on this project! I really enjoyed watching the film. I especially enjoyed the way in which you incorporated images of the Greek structures to furhter connect the modern with the Greek past. I also enjoyed the way in which you presented the information about each location.

Kuy Yeon Lee: I was writing a comment and my computer shut down... anyway sorry it took so long for me to finally watch this video!! So professional!! I think it was a really effective way of reviewing neo-classical architecture in providence. Especially the quotes in the beginning and the end were impressive!! I also think that the zooming and scanning? the major architectural elements were very helpful in identifying the connection. p.s. I like your glasses.

Kellie Slater: That is incredible. I am very impressed. You guys covered so many architectural pieces in Providence and it was so professional. I especially liked the Old Stone Bank and how you compared it to Delphi. Pretty much puts my project to shame. haha
